About Dan O'Brien

As Executive Director of ITS Finance, HR, and Vendor Management, I report directly to the Enterprise CIO and collaborate closely with the ITS Executive team and key stakeholders. The ITS Finance team performs the role of forecasting and budgeting for our diverse funding sources, ensuring financial sustainability and efficient use of resources. Our ITS Vendor Management team handles contracts, negotiations, vendor performance and focuses on maintaining strong relationships with our IT vendors to ensure the best value for our investments. The ITS HR team oversees the employment lifecycle in Enterprise ITS while strictly adhering to UK HR policies and procedures. Our ITS Warehouse team ensures we procure materials needed at an excellent value to run a comprehensive networking and telephony operation for the $7B+ UK enterprise.I am incredibly proud of the work my teams perform behind the scenes, supporting the excellent work of ITS. Our outstanding team, with exceptional individuals, plays a crucial role in the success of the University of Kentucky in healthcare, academics, athletics, and research, both in and "for" the state of Kentucky.
