I led a team of 14 Graduation Coaches who mentored +150 Senior high school student leaders. My prior volunteer experiences in the HoPe Education Department as a Graduation Coach, Education Intern, and Education Coordinator empowered me to implement effective internal change from the top-down to the Graduation Coach program in how we recruit, train, support and develop Grad Coaches. I improved the Education Department's documenting, tracking, and reporting on our students' progress as well as facilitated and hosted virtual educational programming through Zoom and our Facebook platform. I developed and executed a restructuring of the Education Department in spring of 2020 for the 2020-2021 academic year and have synthesized another restructuring for the 2021-2022 academic year in light of our successes and shortcomings.Technology wise, I revamped and streamlined the HoPe Team's use of Google Sheets formulas within the Education Department, Leadership Chapters Department, and Legacy Leaders Department for data collection, data analysis, and reporting purposes on our Legacy Leader program. This involved collaborating, supporting and empowering fellow team members with the knowledge and skills necessary to standardize our internal spreadsheets, allowing for consistency in our data management processes. After extensive discussion and a soft launch to test in our leadership team and staff, I also implemented the adoption of Slack in October of 2019 as an internal communication tool for the HoPe Team. Since then, the team has established clear communication in a virtual space among remote team members that has served HoPe well in light of the COVID induced shift to all things virtual. In partnership with VMware Atlanta for the HoPe Good Gigs Project, launched in January 2020, I facilitated the early stages of the project to implement Salesforce as HoPe's primary database and CRM platform in addition to encouraging and familiarizing the staff throughout the process.
