As a receptionist, I'm the first person that a guest meets upon arrival to the hotel, therefore this job has made me develop my hospitality skills. My tasks include: greet and welcome guests in the hotel, register the guests and take payment, answer any queries the guests may have on in house facilities and tourist information, take and confirm reservations over the phone, update all guest information in the computer.

I also had to monitor available tables, to estimate the waiting time for a table, take calls and bookings, and also help out the waitresses if needed. This position offered me the opportunity to meet different people of many nationalities and expand my knowledge of English.
