About Iuri Rubim

Iuri Rubim is a journalist with a master's degree in education. He works at the borders among communication, technology, culture and education. For almost 10 years, he's been the state coordinator of the Youth Centers of Science and Culture in Bahia. He is a techcamper and alumnus of the U.S. Department of State ans has been a creative learning fellow at the MIT Media Lab/USA (2018). He owns and produces the Podcast "iurru" about Education, Innovation and Technology.Currently, he is the director of the Anísio Teixeira Institute - which is responsible for the training of educators in Bahia. There, among other projects, he leads the Program for Media and Technologies in Education (Rede Anísio Teixeira ), and the initiatives "News Agencies in Schools" and the "Creative Learning Residencies Program"

    I currently hold the position of Director of Innovation and Technology at the Anísio Teixeira Institute, an institution responsible for teacher training in the State of Bahia. There, I focus on prospecting innovations and supporting their integration into the daily lives of Bahian educators. Among other initiatives, I lead the Online Residencies for Creative Learning (http://educacao.ba.gov.br/residenciasdeaprendecimentocriativa), in which educators from Bahia and also from outside the state have the opportunity to develop creative learning activities with the support of educators from all over the country, through mentoring.
