We enable keyless entry for residents and their service providers by offering apartment dwellers upgrade solutions for their existing intercoms. nello builds nello one - an easy to upgrade hardware solution that enables keyless entry to apartment buildings, easily managed through the nello app. nello one is integrated with leading smart locks and the service economy to provide a fully integrated keyless solution for apartment dwellers.

Developed native mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms as well as the backend enabling the apps.

Interdisciplinary project during which I developed a solution for assessing patients' physical functional status in clinical settings using acceleration data and mobile devices. The solution consisted of a web application and an Android app for patient data management, processing and visualisation as well as a Texas Instruments SensorTag for data collection.

Greater Pittsburgh Area

Worked on a project that focused on gait analysis and fall prevention in the elderly. The goal of the project was to develop and evaluate a gait analysis system that detects gait abnormalities induced by the onset of muscle fatigue, in order to reduce the risk of falling in older people. For the accomplishment of this goal, mobile devices and wearable sensors are used. The setup consisted of a Machine Learning system, an iOS app and Arduino microcontrollers connected to the pressure sensors and IMUs in the shoes.

Software development (both front- and back-end) and integration as well as research on potential technologies that the start-up could use.

Consultancy project for the healthcare startup Qmedify. Our team conducted market research and competitor analysis. We also identified and evaluated potential business models and pricing strategies, the outcome of which was a market entry strategy. Moreover, we assisted the company in developing the branding strategy.

MINIBlink - interdisciplinary project that took place within the context of the CDTM. The project focused on conceiving, designing and developing an application for the MINI automobiles, connecting the car with the driver and with the driver's smart watch and phone, in order to facilitate the car sharing process within a group. My team's activities included understanding customer needs, creating the innovative product concept, managingexperimentation and prototyping.
