In April 2011, he had a doctoral traineeship at AGH University of Science and Technology at Krakow, Poland, where he developed his computational tool for structural reliability.Since May 2012, he has been the supervisor of the scientific traineeship of DonNACEA students at the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MSUCE), which takes place annually.In April 2013 he was awarded a PhD degree in Civil Engineering. His PhD work, where he developed a new tool for the reliability of large span roofs, was triggered by the preparation of the Europe Cup “EURO 2012 at Ukraine and Poland. There was a swift interest on the construction of new stadiums and the refurbishment of existing ones, and an increased request for qualitative roofs in accordance to the international specifications. His research work was applied to the technical monitoring of the stadium structure called “Donbas-Arena” at Donetsk (Ukraine), at the operational stage. His PhD thesis was called «Reliability of large-span stadium roofs with large cut formed by rigid threads on elliptic setting». In September 2013, he was promoted to Associate Professor at the Civil Engineering Department, DonNACEA. In 2013, he integrated the Commission, funded by the Ukrainian government, responsible for the adaptation of the Eurocodes to the Ukrainian National Annexes.
