- Providing technical guidance to the development team- Promoting shared infrastructure, applications and components to reduce costs and improve information flows and ensure that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from business and IT strategies- Involved in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the development, implementation and use of technology within department- Evaluating new technologies and designing a roadmap for adoption- Developing proof-of-concepts implementation on new technologies or critical areas of new projects- Managing developments and contributing to reusable internal development framework- Define or review software architecture for complex projects based on functional and non-functional requirements- Serving as evangelist of the architectural vision, strategy, and principles- Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to development teams on architecture and design

- Delivering a relevant technical solution based on best practice / experience / similar projects- Involvement in the Pre-sales engagement of the solution. This could include producing demo and/or Proof of Concept (PoC) or supporting Request for Proposals (RFPs).- Estimations of the development components required for the entire solution.- Technical advisor to the project manager, test manager and/or business.- Lead the technical best practices and principles and make sure they are adhered to.- Identify project risks and assumptions- Oversee the work being done by any other developers- Support the entire development methodology process- Responsible for the technical governance for the project- Management of technical tasks required for the project- Primary escalation resource for technical issues- Conducting code reviews for the development team
