I am a director and co-founder of Taxon Expeditions, an organization that engages citizen scientists in hands-on field research on the least-known animals of the world. Our mission is to harness the power of citizen science for the discovery and conservation of biodiversity. Our work was featured in many international media such as The Guardian, Forbes, and BBC Wild.I am a cave-biologist interested in evolution, adaptation, and speciation in a subterranean environment. I combine field surveys and traditional taxonomy with molecular and biometric approaches to answer evolutionary questions regarding correlations between subterranean habitats and adaptive features of cave beetles. Additionally, I have a particular interest in alpha taxonomy, biodiversity mapping & monitoring, and citizen science.
