Ivaldo served as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, a member of the Operations Committee, and Chairman of the Valuation Committee. During his tenure at the firm, Ivaldo provided oversight to – and in many areas designed - the operational infrastructure including fund accounting, treasury, operational due diligence, client reporting, valuation and investment implementation. Recognized as a visionary in the area of operational due diligence, Ivaldo co-designed among the industry’s earliest – and likely the first – operational due diligence program in the 1990s. Ivaldo led the evaluation of business, operational and regulatory risks and negotiated investment terms for nearly 1,000 of GCM Grosvenor’s investments in alternative investment funds.Prior to joining GCM Grosvenor, Ivaldo served a broad range of financial services industry organizations as senior manager at Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen. He provided services to global banks, broker-dealers, futures commissions merchants, investment advisors and funds, including registered investment companies, hedge funds, private equity funds, credit funds and real estate funds. Ivaldo’s thought leadership and demonstrated ability to collaborate was recognized early in his career by having been hand-selected to develop Arthur Andersen’s 21st century audit methodology as part of an international team of accounting experts at the firm’s world headquarters.Ivaldo lectures on operational risk at The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law, in addition to writing white papers and leading webinars on operational risk.Ivaldo is the Co-Chairmen of the United States Soccer Federation’s Development Council.Ivaldo is a member of the Illinois C.P.A. society.
