Representing the interests of Europe's electricity industry — Eurelectric is one of the most influential organisations in Brussels, leading the continent's green transition with clean electrical energy.In my role as an Energy & Climate Policy Officer, I coordinated and conducted the advocacy strategies of two high-level working groups — WG E-mobility and WG Electrification & Energy Efficiency — consisting of management representatives from each Eurelectric member body.Additionally, by implementing Eurelectric's outreach activities, I developed and sustained effective relations with policymakers from the European institutions and various other key stakeholders.Furthermore, I led and coordinated Eurelectric's flagship studies related to the electrification of end-use consumption — alongside selected members and external consultants (e.g. EY) — as well as the content side of our subsequent large-scale public events, where the association presents its new findings to expert audiences.

Being part of the Energy team at the Brussels-based public affairs consultancy Political Intelligence, allowed me to work on a diverse portfolio of clients in different fields of the energy sector — from utility-scale solar power producers to decarbonised fuels distributors. My daily work consisted of providing business clients with specialised and expert policy analysis on various EU energy & climate legislation, together with timely, accurate and visionary consulting on crucial issues. In addition, I took an active role in presenting key positions during regular meetings with our clients' senior company executives and public affairs managers.

As a full-time trainee in the European Parliament, within the S&D Group's ENVI Committee team, I had the wonderful opportunity of working in person with an outstanding team of policy advisers specialised in environmental affairs.In this highly competitive traineeship program, the main focus of my work was to follow on a variety of legislative files (reports and opinions) that go through the European Parliament's Environment Committee and help the S&D advisers in all of the related responsibilities.A key daily element among the wide scope of my assigned tasks, was to attend closed-door technical, shadow, inter-institutional and stakeholder meetings, in accordance with the EU legislative process, together with various Members of the European Parliament and their assistants, political group policy advisers and other high-level representatives of the industry and NGO sectors. Furthermore, I helped coordinate common S&D Group positions, drafted amendments and compromise amendments, conducted background research and performed numerous administrative and assistance duties.All the legislative files that I have been working on were proposals from the European Green Deal and Fit for 55 package, including the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED), the Renewable Energy Directive (RED), the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the CO₂ emission performance standards for cars and vans.
