I began my career at the Newark office of Haskins & Sells (Deloitte) in 1970 upon graduation from State University of NY at Albany. In 1972 started with Fred Withum as a staff accountant and in 1974 became a founding partner in WithumSmith+Brown (Withum) with Fred Withum & Len Smith. I was PIC of the Milltown office in 1983 when we relocated to New Brunswick. In 1985 opened the Red Bank office along with Andy Vitale, leaving Bill Hagaman as PIC of New Brunswick. From 1989 until the end of 2009 served as Managing Partner/CEO of WS+B at which time Bill Hagaman became MP/CEO. I transitioned to part-time in 2011 and in 2024 continue to work with many individual tax clients who I have advised for many years - some since the mid 1970’s. I have been active over the years in many professional and community organizations. I am (was) also an avid runner and in 2011 I ran the NYC Marathon which was my 21st marathon spanning 1980-2011.
