After my tenure as an undergraduate student at SUNY Oswego, I sought to establish and grow my skills in the administrative assistant/receptionist field. My search had lead me to work for Nonprofit organizations that seek to inform communities (LMI, international peoples, and the general populace) about alternatives to their living situations, either through changing habits that would be harmful to the environment or by seeking fairer housing opportunities. I have worked for Housing Help, Inc. and Green Inside and Out for over 2 years, honing my abilities to maintain an efficient work culture in an office, in addition to working as a Customer Service Representative for Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center, where my skills and adaptability were strengthened to meet the challenges of fast-paced, emergency situations. The culmination of my skills then applied to my position at Bryant & Stratton College - Buffalo Campus, as their Academic Administrative Assistant. My daily responsibilities had me engaged in projects that would boost efficacy for the students and faculty alike, developing best practices in attendance tracking, faculty timesheets, filing and transcript deliveries, semester schedule development, and addressing student concerns. My abilities have led me to work for my current position at the University at Buffalo's Department of Neurology as their Student and Residency Program Administrator. This role enables me to further utilize my skills in assisting medical students and residents on their journeys to use their refined knowledge base and empathetic care to become the next generation of medical professionals. I am always willing to learn new skills with the motivation that my continuous development would give back to the populations served in ways that would be the most beneficial for their needs. In this case, my attitude of being an "eternal student" drives me forward to expand my skills into new projects and services that prioritize developing the student academic experience to new heights.
