I am a first-generation college student with roots on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, driven by a passion for medicine and community health. Inspired by witnessing my grandfather’s medical emergency during the pandemic, I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science with an emphasis on Neurobiology at the University of Arizona.Currently, I am continuing my education in the Accelerated Pathway to Medical Education (APME) program, leading to an MD. My academic interests include brain development, aging, neurological and sleep disorders, and pediatric care.I aim to explore various medical specialties, improve patient care, and serve diverse communities in rural Arizona by leveraging my bilingual skills. My long-term goal is to reshape health care, advocate for patients, and support future students through mentorship and programs like APME.
