The ongoing addition of medical necessity in the world has been an ongoing statement since I was a child. The inspiration for a future in the medical field began as I saw my childhood consisting of doctors visits, which led me into the curiosity of how the human body functions and reacts to disease. Most importantly, the knowledge of an individual to asses and diagnose a disease on a patient intrigued me. Currently, Texas Tech University has helped me in my career with their expansive programs and volunteer opportunities which open up various doors into a dedicated future in my career. Currently, me desired medical specialty is Anesthesiology, as the world of an Anesthesiologists consists of various exposures to many types of medical procedures and is not confined to just one specialty, which adds to the curiosity of how all Surgeries are accomplished and are treated. My current and previous volunteer work has enlightened my passion for medicine, as my limited exposure has my mind wanting to experience more in the world of healthcare, which will enlighten a path of success towards my current and future goals. As a student, my experience has been in different fields such as retail and construction, not only in the medical field. My knowledge in the medical field has been through scribe internships and volunteer opportunities at my local medical center here in Lubbock, Texas. My main interest includes an opportunity to work within the medical field either in an internship or shadowing position. My skill-set in a variety of Job opportunities has allowed me to develop skills not only as a future practitioner, but also in the world of customer service and client relations, which in turn help me develop the ability to assist in office operations and development.
