Maintaining all company servers, pabx system, switches, routers and all network infrastructure, both at the head office and across multiple locations in Malta & Gozo. Sourcing, purchasing, install and maintaining all IT equipment. Performing daily backups on servers and replicating all VMs for the disaster recovery server. Working with cloud technology, like office 365, and T&A for payroll. Handling all support calls and sorting out issues, both from the user’s end and from the various software applications’ end. Monitoring network and setting up VPNs for remote sites and workers who operate from home. Keeping up to date with IT on local seminars on new laws, cyber-crime & new products and services. Providing the board members with budgets for new systems and changes both in hardware, software and infrastructure to keep the IT systems always up to date.

Main duties supporting customers on all levels of the hardware and systems the company markets. These consist of HP Prolaint servers, Blade servers, Storage, Backup systems, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008, Active Directory, MS Exchange, VMWare, Network and router. Supporting HP and Dell hardware at the corporate clients’ site. Hardware ranges from large volume printers to complex server setups. Specialized in communications and networks, including Novell (trained abroad), Mumps, and Microsoft OS’s. Supported HP Medical equipment namely E.C.G. machines, Fetal monitors, Patient monitoring and Cardiac ultrasound machines. Worked with large enterprise projects which included the setup, installation, implementation and transfer of IT infrastructure including Networks, Data Communications, Operating systems and Database Applications.
