This publication described the different activities done to reduce LIH events from 7 in 2010 to only 2 in 2011 and increase the amount of drilled meters per fish lost in hole from 19,900 in 2010 to 66,200 in 2011. This study consisted on determine the best drilling parameters to use in order to achieve the best ROPs through the different geological formation in the Chicontepec field at Veracruz. The result from this analysis was 42% ROP increased after 5 months.
