New role focussed on cost reduction in the diesel fuel space at RTCA. Also includes being custodian of technical knowledge for high power compression ignition engines (Diesel) for the company. Role included understanding and advising on aspects of emissions both gaseous and noise from these large machines. A blend of short term urgent cost savings plus a longer accumulation and providing technical data for medium to longer term improvement pipeline. Role to date has delivered significant triple bottom line benefits to RTCA.

Position of Principal Advisor Project Delivery for Heavy Mobile Equipment in Rio Tinto Coal Australia. Role is accountable for the delivery of anything that is designed to move in 7 coal mines on the east coast of Australia. Succesful delivery of over 100 pieces of HME including 1500 tonne shovels and a wide range of trucks and other equipment.

Accountable for scope delivery of a $340 million dollar project in an Aluminium smelter as part of a $600 million + facility upgrade. Accountable for interface between project and key technology providers - trouble shooting issues, managing change in the project etcManaged interface between owners team , client and EPCM. This included liason with Community Relations staff.

Provided technical support during the ramp up of a new aluminium smelter in the middle East. Main area of focus was the Carbon and Rodding shop. Also managed the capital projects during start up for the Carbon department - scope and business case definition and approval support. Also managed the waste management and was able to recycle 8000 tonnes of start up waste materials.

Developed and operated a site based capital projects planning process. The site based capex plan included a transparent ranking system and simplified project intiation. An enabler for the site to complete CAPEX plan.

R&D, debottlenecking, new smelter technology, small sustaining CAPEX and waste management projects. All in a smelter environment. Debottlenecming was a 10000 anode stem replacement with associated infrastructure improvements.
