Maintain and improve the quality of catering services, including investigation of complaints and defects.Manage and report allocated catering budgets by providing accurate and detailed reports on expenditure and cost effectiveness of labour, equipment and materials.Manage on a daily basis all processes such as hospitality bookings, invoice processing, ordering, stock taking procedures, production of monthly KPIs and all statutory records and local administrative tasks.Plan and manage training programs and development of team. Including personal development programs, training plans and appraisals.Leave clear audit trails and records.Review existing policies and procedures to ensure and make appropriate recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of the catering department.Ensure staff compliance to all internal procedures and policies and legislative compliance such as Health & safety, Fire Policy, Uniform Policy and Food Hygiene Regulations.Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and overall presentation of staff and premises to ensure the Catering Department's reputation is maintained across all sites.Develop, manage and implement effective controls and reporting processes to ensure adequate stock control, control and intake of monies and purchases of all requirements for catering operations in line with corporate guidelines.

An experienced NVQ Assessor/Trainer and internal verifier within the hospitality team, covering multiply qualifications.Engaging employer’s needs and development, working closely with large and small companies developing their return business. Using extensive trade contacts to develop collaboration with industry and college, promoting curriculum advice, work placements and jobs.Mentors junior assessors and internal verifiers, liaising with the external verifier for standardisation.Meets and exceeds targets set for signing up new and repeat business.Integrates well with the academic team, developing extra curricular activities and cover when needed.
