Ivan Jacobs is the founder and director of IJ Security Consulting. Ivan has gained in depth experience in the security industry, from dealing with high level National Key Point security installations to design of Estate security systems. He has over 18 years of experience in the Security industry. He has specialised in both the technology and the interfacing of the security system with the security staffing solution. As a security consultant I have the unique experience of having been a contractor for a large portion of my work experience. During this time we have successfully rolled out some premium projects from street surveillance, National Key point infrastructure build and system upgrades to High end residential estate security builds. This in depth knowledge now stands me in good stead when designing and overseeing projects. My aim is to offer an independent security consulting service to those who are developing and managing properties. Our experience includes Residential Estates, Public open space, Buildings and High Security National Key Points. Services Security System & Infrastructure Design: We assist our clients, to incorporate security into the design for buildings, estates and other facilities. This guarantees a practical and operational security system that performs its function. Specification and Tender Development: A detailed technical specification with a Bill of Quantities ensures that the correct equipment and quality is provided on installation. Project Management: Security projects can be managed from design & initiation to client handover. This guarantees the quality, specification and operation as per the design. Security Assessments: We conduct security assessments on the client’s security infrastructure which includes their physical and electronic security systems. Audits and Checks: part of our service includes audits or checks on the Security, systems & SOP’s. The goal is to ensure that all facets of security maintain a high level of operation and that the nominated contractor is performing duties as per their SLA. System Maintenance Plans: The development of written security policies and procedures concerning the operation and maintenance of the physical and electronic security systems. Our entirely independent consulting service offers unbiased advice based on mitigating security risks effectively and within the best interests of all concerned. The client is able to work at arm’s length and have the benefit of an independent professional to drive the end results.
