My diverse 30 year background in all facets of the building industry makes me uniquely positioned in my current role.At an early age, I worked in my families HVAC / refrigeration business installing and servicing residential and commercial systems. In addition to developing technical skills, I learned first-hand the challenges of operating a business as well as the value of customer service. Post college, I worked as an engineer at a prestigious engineering consultancy in Boston, MA where I learned to design and analyze complex mechanical systems. My prior background in construction allowed me to quickly understand the practical nature of what I was designing, namely the constructability of systems (cost/schedule) and so I quickly came to a point where I was able to develop and maintain Clients for the firm.After 15 years at the same consultancy I felt the need to expand my skills and to take a more leading role. I was fortunate to be hired as head of engineering for a large global drug development contract research organization (CRO) where after two years was overseeing that company's global real estate, facilities and EH&S needs.After 14 years I was offered an exciting opportunity to work for a biotech firm focusing on providing all aspects of facilities and engineering in support of their R&D and GMP manufacturing operations focused on cell and genetic therapies. After a brief 14 months, an opportunity to oversee capital projects for one of the worlds best and most highly respected real estate investment trusts focusing on life science real estate needs presented itself.... and here I am....
