As a squad leader of Bravo Company, the highest rank a cadet can achieve in 2016 at Saint John’s Northwestern Military Academy, I managed 15 cadets by building a relationship with them. I would then discuss their personal goals, academic goals, and the goals of Bravo Company for the day. I would be reaching my goals while checking in with them throughout the day to discuss their progress. I would then discuss their personal goals, academic goals, and the goals of Bravo Company for the day. I would be reaching my goals while checking in with them throughout the day to discuss their progress. If they were struggling, I’d help them in a supportive and efficient way to help them reach their goals. Then at the end of the day I’d create a progress report from each cadet, and report the progress of my squad and I to Senior leadership. I would then get feedback on what was successful and how to improve, and would make a plan to implement the improvements the next day. I would talk to the squad as a whole the following morning about these improvements, and would then talk to each cadet individually about their improvements and what they can do to be more successful.
