Ivan Lee received BEng, MCom, MER, and PhD degrees from the University of Sydney, Australia. He was a software development engineer at Cisco Systems, a software engineer at Remotek Corporation, and an Assistant Professor at Ryerson University. He was a visiting scholar at Academia Sinica, Peking University, Dalian University of Technology. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the University of South Australia, the Technology Development Leader at UniSA Sustainable Infrastructure and Resource Management (SIRM) research concentration, and a REDI Fellow with Ellex Medical. He served as a Program Chair of the 2008 ACM International Conference on Image and Video Retrieval (CIVR), a General Chair of 2013 Australasian Computer Science Week (ACSW), and a General Co-Chair of 2015 International Conference on Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing (IIH-MSP). He was a recipient of the best paper award of 2007 Pacific-Rim Conference on Multimedia (PCM), the Lockheed Martin Best Paper Award of 2015 SPIE Defense + Security: Automatic Target Recognition XXV, and the Vannevar Bush Best Paper Honorable Mention of 2020 Jointed Conference on Digital Libraries (JCDL).
