Accounting Manager
Current-Provide leadership and guidance to an accounting team of 3 professionals. This includes hiring, performance management, and goal oriented training. -Responsible for Month End Close which includes General Ledger maintenance, Intercompany Transactions, as well as the Review and Approval of all Journal Entries and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.-Manage three separate sets of General Ledgers in two separate Accounting Systems, then tying everything back at Month End to ensure all reporting is parallel. This includes providing explanations on variances from prior forecasts.-Assist in preparation of Yearly Budgeting and Monthly Forecasting by providing data and analytics to Senior Management. -As Payroll Manager, ensure the accuracy of our payroll reporting as well as submit any Payroll Adjustments. This includes the preparation and submission of Commissions which follow a complex reporting structure.-Led the set-up of accounting processes to support a Canadian Entity under our corporate umbrella. This includes but is not limited to back-office operations, general ledger management, and month end reporting.-Successfully set up new Bank Accounts while creating a more efficient Cash Reconciliation process to allow for full transparency. -Implemented quarterly training goals for the Accounting Team in order to further their development and promote future success. This includes systems training, cross-training, and documenting current role processes
