Ivan Mirkovski (1979) is an accomplished architect, urbanist and university lecturer, known for his expertise in urban design and his extensive research on social morphology and post-socialist cities. He began his academic career in 2003 and since then, he has held positions at prestigious institutions such as the Technical University of Vienna and the Faculty of Architecture and Design at UACS.In addition to his academic work, Mirkovski has also been actively practicing architecture since 2003. He has worked in several renowned studios, including Supranormativ in Vienna, Schluder/Kastner in Vienna, and GrupaA Architects, where he became a partner. He is currently a partner and principal architect at the Superblock studio and serves as the CEO of the Smart Living Group.Mirkovski is also highly respected for his contributions to the field of urban planning and design. He founded the international platform for urban planning, city sociology and contemporary thought, Forum Skopje, in 2007 and the Skopje Architecture Week in 2008. He has also served as a board member for the Biennial European Award For Urban Public Space from Barcelona since 2012.In recognition of his achievements, Mirkovski received the prestigious Grand Award for Architecture in Macedonia in 2015. He is a highly sought-after speaker and has participated in numerous conferences and seminars around the region. With his vast knowledge and experience, Mirkovski is widely regarded as one of the leading figures in contemporary architecture and urban design in Macedonia.
