Ever since childhood computers have been my passion. I can still remember sittingin front of my dad’s RadioShack's TRS-80 Model I with its incredible 4K RAM andits amber monitor.I spent hours typing my first lines of code in BASIC. Programs taken from anEnglish programming magazine that my father had brought home in the early 90s. Ididn't speak English back then but that didn't make any difference, it was the codethat fascinated me.Later, as a teenager, I realized that it was not only computers or technology thatintrigued me, but the things I hadn't learnt yet. The challenge of trying to understandhow things work, why they are as they are and how problems can be solved weredefinitely my thing. In this everlasting search for knowledge and improvement, my professional lifefollowed unconventional paths. Although I remained in the technology segment, Iaccepted challenges and moved through almost all IT subdivisions. I went fromdevelopment to systems architecture, I was an instructor, worked with IT sales, specialized myself in infrastructure projects for data centers, network, telephony andsecurity, virtualization, backup and complex projects in the telecom business. In 2014, I accepted the challenge to organize an IT department. I set up a new teamand together we’ve implemented new processes, developed new infrastructure, anew ERP, a software factory to meet the customizations required by business, modules for fleet management, freight control, imports, Data Warehouse and BIprojects. Using agile methodologies and the best practices allowed us to keepour costs low and at the same time meticulous and flexible. In addition to ensuring business continuity, I also develop strategic projects forprocess automation and integration with external partners, as well as initiatives forcompany digital transformation. With a hands-on profile and my technicalbackground, I work collaboratively with development teams, defining thetechnology and standards to be adopted. This curiosity and restlessness made me a carpenter, mechanic, electrician and anamateur musician. I have learned from my father that the phrase “I don't know!”sounds better when said “I don't know, yet!”.This passion for the unknown is alive inside of me. There is much to be learned, many problems to be solved and much to be built.
