I was employed as a Commercial Manager within the Airborne Early Warning and Control Business Unit. In this role my primary responsibilities were for the commercial management of Peace Eagle (an export sale through the Boeing Company to the Turkish Air Force), establishment of BAE Systems’ Wedgetail In-Service Support Contract and providing commercial management support to the Wedgetail Support team. I was employed in this role since December 2004 to mid 2006. In addition to the day to day commercial administrative matters, my duties included:• The development and negotiation of numerous contract change proposals.• Regular liaison with the Boeing Customer’s supplier management organisation.• Regular liaison with internal customers and stakeholders.• Ensuring compliance with corporate processes and procedures.Success in this position required that I became an integral part of the teams that I supported both as a team member and in the areas of my responsibility as a team lead.

Over this period my experiences include:• A lead role in the development of requests for tenders, request for proposals, invitations to register interest, market surveys and other solicitation documents. • A lead role in the evaluation of a variety of tenders and other solicitations. • A principal participant in head table negotiations including contract negotiations, dispute resolutions, significant contract amendments and other corporate agreements. • Active participation in and prime carriage of procurements ranging from professional services and consultancy services contracts through to smaller equipment and developmental acquisition contracts.• Provision of contractual and procurement policy and management advice and support services to clients.• Developing and maintaining professional relationships with suppliers of professional services, equipment and support services.• Developing section budgets and workplans to ensure quality services were provided while operating in a constrained resource environment.
