I am Ivan Sempijja, an Economist, Agriculture and Agribusiness expert who has worked with KCCA stationed at RUBAGA DIVISION.Here I was responsible for these duties; Information Dissemination (Sensitization), to create awareness on urban farming, this involved community mobilization and sensitization of Farmers on a weekly basis. Enterprise development, to provide technical knowledge and skills in urban agriculture and Agribusiness, conducting thematic trainings and demonstrations in communities. Implement government programs in the city, (NAADS, PDM, YIUF, Mushroom beneficiaries and Enterprise development program, participate in identification and verification of the beneficiaries. Participate in pre-disbursement trainings, Participate in input distribution, Participate in Farmers Forum meetings. Inspection and Quality Assurance, to ensure farmers adhere to maintain required standards, this involved Visiting Farmers/ Agro-processing enterprises( value addition) to establish performance and progress of their enterprises. Profiling Farmers and Agribusiness enterprises, to establish a database (collect and enter data) for agriculture and Agribusiness actors ( Farmers and Value addition Enterprenuers) Research and To promote innovation Development, develop project initiatives, participate in management of ideas and trials at kyanja. I am a Soccer Fan, I enjoy Swimming, Cycling and Cooking as my hobbies.I Love Reading and doing research.I enjoy farming as well.
