Five year project in improving urban water and sanitation access funded by USAID with a budget of USD 38.9 million.-Regularly review IUWASH workplans and reports to learn how sanitation marketing does and can further contribute to reaching project objectives.-Interview appropriate persons (and review appropriate documents) from WSP and other programs to learn how they approached sanitation marketing, results, and lessons.-Develop brief reports that summarize major findings that can be used in further refining project sanitation marketing systems and materials.-Collaborate with IUWASH regional staff and those from partner agencies (MOH, MPW, NGOs, etc.) in conducting any new required research and in compiling information in each region on:Types and models of toilets, latrines, and septic tanks available -Contribute to the development/finalization of the IUWASH catalog on sanitation technologies, Urban Sanitation Promotion Guides and the Sanitation for the Poor Toolkit and assist in developing and providing trainings to others on these documents.-Work with regional staff to encourage and facilitate their work in developing sanitation businesses and in training masons and other persons to install sanitation systems.-Share activities and lessons learned with sanitation marketing specialists in other projects and programs, NGO and governmental.
