I work in the Road and Footway Asset Team within the Planned Works part of Highways, Transportation and Waste (which is a division within the Growth, Environment and Transport directorate). I project manage the delivery of Kent County Council's footway protection treatment programme, this includes site identification and suitability surveys, measures, all preparation works, agreeing designs and the application of the treatment. As the Road and Footway Asset team we deliver a common sense approach to footway maintenance, balancing asset management principles, network condition and local needs. As a result we design and deliver Footway surfacing schemes throughout Kent.
