Compared to every university in the Nation at 5-15%!In 2012, putting my education to work as a political science major and as the Student Body President, my team and I responded to the low voting turn out of millennials and students and created the "Walk 2 Vote" (W2V) initiative. UHD has been nationally recognized by the White House for its increase of civic participation! The International Parliament of Education, in collaboration with Mr. Sanchez, are hosting a congregation Summit in the International City of Houston, Texas in February of 2016. The 37 appointed national representatives from across the globe are congregating in order to learn & discuss the best educational practices found in the United States, and to implement the practices into their respective countries. The objective is to guarantee better education quality (and practices) all around the world. The International Members aim to improve the educational systems to create opportunity and call into action a wide dialogue of experiences and ideas to best benefit their teachers, students, and schools, to deliver the necessary tools to succeed.
