Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears. –Les BrownI am 50% creative and 50% work ethic. Those two combined trait manifested me into me becoming a successful professional dance choreographer. My wake up call happened during an Entertainment Industry class by JaQuel Knight(Choreographer for Beyoncé) when he said "Anyone can learn to dance, but not everyone will succeed in this industry if you can't market yourself." By learning what it takes to become successful in the dance industry, I’ve learned that the thing more important than “show time” is the “behind the scenes.” It turns out that becoming a professional dancer was just the tip of the iceberg, everything else underneath was just as important.I come to the table with 7 years of high level dance instruction and small brand marketing experience (in-house, contract, commercial, and recreational settings) and 4 years in the entertainment business. My top priority has always been to cultivate and deliver the highest degree of service while delivering professional visual content that connects with the target audience.I wear many hats, but some of my most highly requested offerings include:-Long-form visual content (branding videos, Informational, and story telling)-Short-form content (social media, videos, and advertising)-Visual content branding strategy-Expert videography/photography/Audio production skills, and the corresponding programs. (Final Cut Pro X, Light Room, Logic Pro X)-High level dance production/choreography experience.The pandemic from 2020-2022 put the Entertainment Industry in an unfortunate whirl wind. The Hollywood Reporter cited that at the height of the pandemic over 890,000 jobs in film and entertainment were lost. Along with me and thousands of other people, I was caught in the crossfire of this unforeseeable force. A big part of Dance Instruction job went online for a year and a half, and "on-sight" jobs were at a complete halt. This adversity made forced me to pick myself up by my boot straps to reinvent and diversify the approach to my professional career.

Dances consisted of different creative themes, skill level, and number of students. I learned to collaborate with an array of students who differed in cultures, age, sex, and, learning styles. It was my job to have professional organization across all the job responsibilities which included staff meetings, lesson plans, parent-observations, dance choreography and music deadlines. The competition classes differed in the regard that we will start training/rehearsals in the summer while completing the dance routines throughout the year. These classes had a lesson plan which required more advance movement and techniques to match the demand of the curriculum. These dancers often had 3 or more hours of HipHop during the week which required a more rigorous training regiment.
