Ivan Brockman has 30+ years of experience advising companies, financial sponsors and venture capital firms in all sectors of technology. Selected technology leaders with which Ivan has worked include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Oracle, Verizon, SAP, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, VMware, Intel, EMC, NYSE-Euronext, Flex, Citrix, Yahoo, eBay, Intuit, BEA, Sun, Siebel, VERITAS, Compellent, Synchronoss, and many others. Ivan is a Partner with PJT Partners' advisory group, and has been with the firm since the merger and subsequent spin-off transaction from Blackstone. Before the spin-off, Ivan was a Senior Managing Director with Blackstone, founding the firm's Silicon Valley office and leading its Technology M&A Advisory effort on the West Coast. While at Blackstone, Ivan was also heavily involved with the firm's investing efforts in Technology, and served on the Investment Committee for Blackstone Innovations including investments in Optiv, Cylance, CarbonBlack, and several other cybersecurity companies.Before Blackstone, Ivan was the Co-Head of the West Coast Technology at Citi and led the firm's investment banking efforts in Software & Systems, and had responsibility for many Large Cap relationships. Before Citigroup, he was a Vice President with Goldman Sachs in the firm's TMT investment banking group, where he headed the firm's efforts in the software and EMS industries. Ivan also spent several years as an Associate at the law firm of Wilson Sonsini, where he executed venture capital financings, equity offerings and M&A for technology companies. Ivan received a BS with Distinction from Cornell University in 1990 and a JD from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1994. Ivan is a former National Science Foundation fellow and a participant in the prestigious Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory program.
