At Depaul University I could work in a lab focused on designing, building, and studying tools to foment equitable education and empowerment in urban communities of the Chicago area. As a research assistant, I was helping to conduct interviews in a product discovery process to understand how communities with high crime rates were using technology to address the problem. This study aimed to develop a tool to help local community leaders in their routine of solving violent conflicts in their neighborhoods.
