Reducing energy costs without compromising the performance of the process.We used tools such as:-Life cycle analysis to assess environmental impacts by midpoint category with SimaPro 8.5 software.-Value stream mapping, corresponding to lean manufacturing tools. To detect continuous improvement opportunities through graphical information flows.Economic analysis, useful to determine the monetary value of the benefit obtained by the eco-efficient design for each impact category and continuous improvement proposal.

Support to a researcher of PhD studies in Chemical Engineering Sciences, in the development of a biorefinery methodology to obtain value-added products derived from residual lignin from industrial processes, as sustainable alternative raw materials to non-renewable materials, and to be applied in the manufacture of commercial products. Also for this project I developed my degree thesis.It was used:- Molecularly characterized filamentous fungi.- Specific laboratory material.- Good laboratory practices.- High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) equipment.- Bioreactors.As results, products such as vanillin, 5-(hydroxymethyl)furfural, Coniferyl Alcohol, Sinapyl Alcohol, etc. were obtained.
