Since graduating from California State University at Los Angeles in 1972 with a BA in History and Minor in Political Science and Theater Arts, I have not worked for anyone except for my Customers.In 1973 from a 400 sq. ft. store and a VW bug, I started Krazie Katz Fashions, a discount womens' clothing. Had my first of 4 children and expanded to a chain of 10 stores including women's shoes and men's clothing.In 1982, with interest rates at 21%, I decided I was no longer interested in the pursuit and expansion. I sold two stores and closed the rest to follow my passion of writing. I started Business to Business Magazine, The How-To Business Magazine of Orange County.It quickly became the largest, most subscribed to business magazine in Orange County. I sold it to Zebra Publishing in 1992.Along with my brother Modie and nephew Ari, I started a National Software Distribution Company, SoftKat Inc. From 1993 until I sold it to a Public Company in 2000, we were one of the largest Closeout Software Distribution company in the US.With enough cash, I was ready to retire!! My three boys had other plans for me. They convinced me that "Hard-to-Find" electronic components distribution business was a fun and profitable venture. I invested as a silent partner with one of their experienced friends and with 9-11-2001 everything changed. Projections and cash-flow charts were redefined and I took over full charge as CEO of Assembly Alliance Electronics.After 11 years, working with my kids and 23 additional employees, I decided to transfer the business to the kids and retire again.Tired of being "retired", in 2013, after student films and acting classes, I became a SAG/AFTRA Union Professional actor with several commercials and film credits.
