I am involved in teaching ELEC1201 Programming, ELEC1204 Advanced Programming, ELEC6233 Digital Systems Synthesis, and ELEC6234 Embedded Microprocessor Synthesis. In addition to my lecturing role, I am also the Coordinator for Lab Demonstrators in ECS department, my job is to make sure everything runs smoothly for our lab sessions. I handle scheduling, match demonstrators to labs where they'll shine, and ensure we stick to the academic schedule and course needs. Training and supporting our demonstrators is a big part of what I do, providing them with the tools and knowledge to lead effective lab sessions. I'm the go-between for faculty, demonstrators, and students, helping solve any problems that come up.

I was an assistant professor at the University of Southampton Malaysia, lecturing in a variety of EEE subjects, such as: Digital systems and microprocessors, Programming (Hosted C and embedded C), Advanced Programming (Object Oriented C++), Engineering design exercises and Computer Engineering. Currently I am the module leader to the Computer Engineering module, covering various aspects of the operating systems and computing concepts. I am also active in research, specializing in sensor design, IoT and machine learning for environmental monitoring applications.

I'm currently researching on novel ways to utilize Nano-Crystalline Graphene (NCG) for environmental sensing applications. I am also partially involved in developing testing platforms for NCG based NEMS and MEMS transistors with low current leakage.

Taught and assisted various subjects including Python programming, GUI design and implementation, engineering mathematics, microcontrollers, robotics (Eurobot project), and fundamental electronics.

My responsibilities includes developing developing and maintaining Java servlets and web interfaces for a Network Video Recorder (NVR) Project. Also, I am tasked to research and develop a stand alone open sourced, ONVIF compliant IP-Camera prototype using raspberry pi as the base.

As an engineering intern at SAINS (Sarawak Information Systems), I was given the opportunity to learn more about the network infrastructures used by firms around Sarawak. I was also lucky to be chosen as part of the Network and Systems Engineering's Re-engineering Team member. Being in the re-engineering team, I was exposed to various project management and change management methodologies which are not taught in our university. I was given a research project by the manager to determine whether they should include Ruckus Wireless access point in their project implementations.

My main work as a trainee is to work with my supervisors in the field of Big Data Analysis. I was given the task to design an interface which gives the user an overall view of the test performance of various microcontrollers at first glance. Also, I was given the chance to explore various type of quality management methodologies used in Freescale, such as the Six Sigma Method and Super 5S. My supervisor also gave me extra lessons on Java programming and SQL in order to help me in developing the interface needed for my project.
