I oversee the entire department and supervise all counselors and interns.

I ensure that the team of clinicians at the Main Building of Houston’s Catholic Charities provide the best clinical services to our clients. As Lead Clinician, I am responsible for helping our team of bilingual clinicians to keep as effective as possible every counseling session that each one of them offers.

I complete evaluations and intakes of children and adults both in English and Spanish. I diagnose and provide psychological tests. I then create treatment plans for people of all ages and provide individual therapy, play therapy, family therapy, couples therapy and group therapy by using evidence-based treatments. I offer crisis intervention including suicide assessments and homicide assessments. I perform all of these services in the both languages mentioned above. Additionally, I do bilingual presentations and training for people in need, as well as maintain appropriate documentation of all services.

I provided individual, play, group, and family therapeutic services to survivors of child sexual abuse and their families. I evaluated these children and planned treatments for them. I provided consultation and training to parents of survivors through presentations that I prepared. I offered consultation to other team members as well as crisis intervention for the child sexual abuse survivors, including suicide and homicide assessment. I did assessments of these survivors using mental status examinations and age-appropriate procedures. I also did intake interviews in order to gather relevant information necessary for treatment planning. I kept all of the survivors' records up to date with daily documentation.
