Ivan Ong worked arduously to enroll in Nanyang Technological University to study Accounting – the profession that his mother had recommended so he’d never be out of a job. While doing some supplemental reading to his course work, Ivan stumbled upon Robert Kiyosaki’s “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” and the concept behind it captivated him. He started rethinking his ideas of success, and the safety of his accounting profession.By chance, Ivan Ong came across Internet Marketing in December of 2007 at the age of 21. At first he was skeptical about this path. However, one day he received a check from Google written to Ivan Ong. At that moment he realized that this was not just a scheme, but a business with true potential. Ivan took his time in university as an opportunity to build his knowledge base about Internet Marketing; when his friends were out having fun he was in his room learning internet marketing skills, when his friends were going to class Ivan was in his room working on his business, when his peers were sleeping Ivan was awake, working on his business.All the sacrifice was worth it for Ivan Ong. After one year, Ivan began making what he felt was substantial money on his initial investment of $1,000. In December 2008, he was able to generate enough gross revenue to net over $11,000 in profit. In his mind, he was climbing the ladder of success, slowly, but surely. In 2013, Ivan created his second company, CPA Academy Pte Ltd., in order to spread the knowledge he had amassed over the years. Ivan Ong currently offers tips and tactics to students with a desire to learn about the field of CPA marketing, and the limitless income potential it holds. It is Ivan’s desire to put tools in the hands of as many individuals as possible to allow them to escape the rat race he sees as the largest detriment to happiness in one’s work life.
