- Establish and maintain effective relationships with external and internal customers that foster compassion, authenticity, integrity, respect, and dignity.- Provide creative and proactive resolutions to problems relating to internal departments and customers.- Display ownership of all aspects of assigned customer relationships, including customer contracts, billing rates, service level agreements, warehouse hours of receiving, special delivery requests, customer reporting, and expected company KPIs.- Foster a collaborative customer experience; understand each customers changing needs, load forecasting and sharing industry related news.- Become proficient with TMS software to screen and input delivery orders received from customers, check availability, schedule pickups and delivery appointments.- Become proficient with all rates related to the customer account.- Become proficient understanding contract agreements with all shipping lines in regard to equipment Per Diem charges.- In depth knowledge of how the Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach work, including schedules, appointments systems, Demurrage and Per Diem policies website navigation, etc.- Extracting data from our TMS to generate customer reports in Excel that can be used to provide daily status updates, evaluate YTD performance, evaluate customer volumes, and other relevant information.- Accurately adding charges per the company rates and policies that are pre-established with the customer prior to accepting orders.- Daily shipment auditing including finalizing of all charges, confirming required shipment documents, and assigning the corresponding status for billing purposes.- Provide support to other Account Managers when requested or needed to promote an excellent teamwork environment.- Provide continuous feedback to improve current and future standard operating procedures and training protocols.- Meet designated KPIs weekly, monthly, and quarterly according to Company Policies.
