About Ivan W. Hall

I am a Senior Principal Executive Advisor and Speaker/Facilitator in Gartner’s HR Practice with a specialty in DEI. In my current role, I support Heads of DEI, Heads of HR, and various other stakeholders in making DEI approachable, actionable, and accountable within organizations of all sizes and industries. My personal motto in this work is to make everyone feel like they have a place and a voice.I started my corporate career as a Mailroom Clerk in a midsize spinoff and across my career, I’ve held positions and completed advanced duties at the supervisor and manager level in operations, project management, HR, IT innovation and automation, hospitality management, sales, product development, and client advisory. I believe that every step on this journey has given me the skills and experiences I’ve needed to reach the people who need me the most. As a leader with grit and resilience, I’ve continuously cultivated my skills while developing a hunger for knowledge and a love for complex situations. As an entrepreneur, I’ve built a creative, innovative, and no-limits mindset into everything I do and every product or service I seek to create. My mission is to change the landscape of what non-traditional candidates are able to achieve and to act as a mentor and sponsor for emerging talent from all communities, especially underrepresented groups. Through my work in ERGs, DEI councils and steering committees, Advisory Boards, and numerous other engagements including a passion for representation and DEI in healthcare, DEI is where my passion meets my purpose. I possess the desire it takes to make meaningful contributions. The emotional intelligence to navigate tense situations. The willingness and ability to both ask questions and to be wrong. The passion to push past what currently is and create what could be. Most importantly, I possess the dedication needed to be an active partner in furthering change.
