Presales work involving customer presentations and demos / POC's to C-level and other senior management positions, defining solution proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and handling technical questions from prospects. Evangelizing solutions through webinar presentations and speaking at industry events and conferences. Post-sales customer support for both customer and partner issues. Implemented a Salesforce.com based case handling system for managing support cases reported by customers and partners. Rolled out the support system to a global team with follow the sun support teams, and 24x7 coverage.Partner support to facilitate and enable partners to be self sufficient. Coordinated training events for partners, and ensured that they had what they needed to be successful. Played a behind-the-scenes role on some partner sales opportunities in order to make their proposal more compelling.Project delivery involving consultants based in the US and offshore. I was responsible for sales engineering for all the Interstage products sold in the USA. This included BPM, XWand (XXBRL software), Analytics (including Automated Process Discovery), and Cordys BOP. I was involved in all stages of the sales cycle (qualification, presentation / demo, solution definition, and handover to the service delivery team. I provided team leadership and management support for the entire team of SE’s working for the Interstage solutions. In addition to my main sales engineering role, I was also a Technical Account Manager, responsible for maintaining a technical relationship with strategic named accounts. I monitored how the product was being used by the customer, upsold, and planned for rollout to new projects / areas. I was the contact for any technical escalations, roadmap information, and enhancement requests.

I led the team responsible for the development of Interstage BPM. This is a Java / J2EE based business process management (BPM) suite. I managed a team of 10 engineers for the entire software development lifecycle for several releases of Interstage BPM until development moved entirely offshore. I was involved from Interstage BPM versions 3.5 to 8.1. During my tenure, I architected and planned two major product technology changes during the life of the product. One was to move away from applets to a JSP/servlet and Flash based UI. The other was to create a new Studio component based on Eclipse. I also architected and drove the design for BPM simulation capabilities that were added to the Studio.

I was responsible for bundling solutions based on Fujitsu software technology. The focus was on enterprise solutions based on the Interstage BPM product. This involved bundling Interstage BPM with complementary products to create a compelling solution. Eg: Single sign on, portal technology, etc.
