Projects accomplished within this position:1. 2019 EuroVolley (M/W) as a member of the Control Committee, responsible for Budapest, Hungary for the Women and Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Alperdorn, The Netherlands for the Men.2. 2020 CEV Volleyball Tokyo Volleyball Olympic Qualification in Berlin, Germany.

FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship is one of the top global sports events organized every 4 years. The 2018 edition, co-hosted by Italy & Bulgaria, is the biggest sport event in the Bulgarian history in terms of local and global media presence. For the first time, two countries (9 cities in total) hosted a volleyball world championship, which brought new challenges for all parties involved, especially in terms of coordination and consistency.My responsibilities as Marketing Communications Director were focused on 3 main topics:1. Concept and development of the overall marketing strategy in accordance with the FIVB’s specific requirements as well as the management of its implementation through all communication channels including branding.2. Sponsoring acquisition, which included development and presentation of custom-tailored sales concepts, negotiations/contracts, as well as daily key accounting and proactive collaboration with partners on their activation concepts and rights utilization.3. Member of the joint OC (FIVB/Bulgaria/Italy), which meant participation in most of the coordination meetings and thus performing as one of the main coordination hubs between all involved parties.As a member of the Bulgarian OC, I was also involved in most of the decisions related to the general event management, tickets sales, the media strategy, etc. An important part of my job was the coordination of all so-called sports presentation activities. The sports presentation is one of the main pillars in the FIVB's strategy for further development of the volleyball as an attractive platform for partners and fans!

I was invited, along with some other professionals in their areas, to join the organization of the 2015 CEV Volleyball European Championship - Men in a quite late stage (just 6 months before the start of the event). At that time, in terms of Marketing Communications, there was only an official logo existing. Despite the short time-horizon, we've managed to quickly build up a strong and highly operational team and to deliver on a level, required for a European Championship in one of the most popular sports in the world.My main responsibilities as a Marketing Director were:1. To very quickly concept and implement an overall marketing strategy. This included the creation (from scratch) and the integration championship's visual identity, which is normally extremely time and creativity demanding process.2. To concept and execute an urgent sponsoring acquisition strategy, including the management of the negotiation processes with all potential partners and then the collaboration with the acquired ones on their activation and rights utilization concepts. 3. To coordinate all marketing and communication-related tasks between all involved parties (CEV - Bulgaria - Italy). 4. To actively collaborate with my colleagues in the Bulgarian OC on all project and event management related tasks.I believe the best testimonial about what we did in this short period of time is the fact that only two months after the European Championship FIVB decided to delegate the organization of the world's biggest volleyball event - the 2018 Men’s World Championship - to Bulgaria and Italy.
