I am a philosopher by education, and have 35 years of experience as a teacher and human rights adviser. My philosophical training combines the areas of phenonology and hermeneutics, communications theory and system theory, and theories of democratic law. I have thought history of philosophy, philosophy of science, critical thinking, political philosophy and philosophy of law at numerous institutions of higher education in Norway. My human rights work has focused mainly on freedom of speech, assembly and organization; rule of law and democracy; minority rights. The areas of the world with which I have most experience are Poland, Hungary, Russia, Kashmir, India, North Korea, Uganda, Mexico, Honduras. My work mainly consists of project management, facilitation of political advocacy work with activists and relevant professionals, execution of political advocacy work, editing and writing analytical and advocacy texts. I have contributed to have politically delicate issues presented and discussed with signficant political effect in the Norwegian Parliament (formal questions and numerous meetings with representatives), in the European Parliament (public hearing on the human rights situation in Kashmir by the Sub-Committee for Human Rights DROI in 2019), by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights OHCHR (facilitation of contributions to a unique report on the Human Rights Situation in Kashmir in 2018 with a rejoinder in 2019). These reports have ongoing and significant political effects in India and the international community.I have also facilitated the preparation and contributed in the executions of advocacy regarding the Polish governments violation of Article 19(1) TEU and Article 47 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union adressing the European Commission, which was acted upon and led to a favorable conviction in the Court of Justice of the European Union CJEU (case against Poland intiatied by the European Commisssion 3 April 2019, communicated to the Court 25 October 2019, final ruling 15 July 2021). This ruling also has ongoing and significant effects in the European system.
