- Responsible for payment obligations and ensure adherence to AP policies and procedures- Research vendor statements and review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval, prior to payment- Prepare vendor checks for mailing, account reconciliations, posting to GL, and coding using electronic A/P processing system- Perform financial statement audits of financial closing procedures for purposes of SEC/Sox regulations- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues- Maintain vendor files, verify federal id numbers- Maintain historical records by filing and uploading documents to the accounts payable database- Provide general support to the Accounts Payable department- Assist with system clean-up projects and testing updated accounts payable software- Assist with implementation of NetSuite software

- Prepare and assist in simple to complex tax returns for individuals and small businesses- Use all appropriate adjustments deductions and credits to keep clients’ taxes to a minimum- Interview clients to obtain additional information on taxable income and deductible expenses and allowances- Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns- Write-up work including entering checks and deposits, payroll checks, and bank reconciliations
