Sarah is a scientist, communicator, and leader. She's experienced in startups and biologics discovery. Described on Netflix as “ruthlessly meticulous” and with an obsessive attention to detail, she’s excelled in technical work from complex viral assay development to scaling commercial lab operations for high throughput characterization of drug candidates. Her enthusiasm and honed ability to break down complex topics make her an effective and engaging communicator. She cultivated this unique ability to speak to both broad and narrow audiences through high profile talks at international conferences and prominent universities, in podcasts, interviews, and in a Netflix docuseries that featured Sarah and her research. Her technical skills span therapeutic antibody discovery and engineering, immunology, and flu vaccines. She’s worked in academia, a mid-size and a large biotech, and was one of the first employees at startup. There over 5 years she helped build the technologies that made the company profitable without outside investment, trained and grew the lab team, led all contract research operations for >75 therapeutics discovery and engineering campaigns, led business development and contract writing, negotiated high-profile deals, and helped navigate the company to a successful exit for $100M. Currently she is VP of Biopharma at Triplebar Bio, where she is building a therapeutic pipeline of TCR-based therapeutic candidates.Outside of work, you can find her in or near the Pacific. She is a cold water open-ocean marathon swimmer, an avid cyclist, and can often be spotted skating through Golden Gate Park on rollerblades.
