My role in BRP is to lead every initiative and activity related to government affairs and public relations with BRP’s key stakeholders in Government, Canadian diplomatic representations and business associations in Latin America, with a strong focus in Mexico and Brazil. I am BRP’s Ambassador, and I love to promote our brand, our organizational culture, our values and processes and our best practices with those stakeholders. I keep an active agenda of events and initiatives, I organize visits to our manufacturing plants and sales offices, prepare presentations, briefing documents for executives, documents with analysis and information of different issues in the region, attend meetings and participate in external events as spokesperson. I participate in the National Council of the Maquiladora and Export Industry (Index) in Juarez and Queretaro, in Canacintra Nacional and Canacintra Queretaro, and in the Automotive Industry National Association (AMIA, Motorcycle Committee). I am responsible for negotiating subsidies/incentives with governments, and support Operations and Sales/Marketing when solving issues with authorities. I also work very close with our customs and finance organizations to create analysis of potential risks or benefits in Free Trade Agreements negotiations and legislative changes that may impact our business. I also receive intelligence and analysis from different consultants, and communicate what’s important internally to key people in the LATAM organization. I report to the Global Director, based in Switzerland.
