As a Director of graduate program in Biotechnology, I contribute to graduate education and applied research at Georgetown University Medical Center. My role as a Professor and Director of our prominent Program is to educate our students in all aspects of Biotechnology. The success of our students in the real world demonstrates the value of our Program which combines the world of science with more applied areas such as business, regulatory or manufacturing. Biotechnology Program celebrates 26 years of existence during. We are very proud of our over 1200 alumni who are the testament of the merit provided by our Program. Nothing is more rewarding for a teacher than to see his/her graduates achieving success in their professional journey. My scientific interests are in applying biotechnology tools to understand regulation of secondary metabolites, also impact of natural secondary metabolites on human health, in particular skin.
