Role: monitoring of various mandates with a specific focus on LDI, mortgages and credits.Responsibilities: ensuring adequate management and control (monitoring) of asset managers in the field of LDI, mortgages and credits. Leading and implementing a manager selection process is one of my tasks.As chairman of the Monitoring Committee, I am responsible for the periodic evaluation of all mandated asset managers (matching as well as return), the recording thereof, the reporting to the Executive and the General Board, the preparation and updating of policy documents regarding the monitoring and selection of asset managers.

Role: day-to-day management.Responsibilities: the operational implementation of (new) mandates and the daily operational management. The selection of external asset managers (RFI, RFP, case study, due diligence, site visits) including the written recording of the entire process for the Investment Management Committee and General Board. In addition, I coordinated transitions of new mandates, the dynamic investment policy, the periodic derivatives rolls as well as in/outflows. This entailed the assessment of pre-trade proposals and post-trade analyses. Besides the selection of asset managers, monitoring of mandated asset managers was also part of my duties. Among other things, we selected four external managers (Emerging Markets Debt and Insurance Linked Securities) and carried out the associated transitions.

Role: aligning business requirements with Group ICT (G-ICT) Delivery.Responsibilities: first point of contact for the front office of Robeco Asset Management and Robeco Alternative Investments. I listed and prioritized the wishes/requirements of RAM/RAI and reported/defended this within G-ICT; in addition, I was responsible for managing and monitoring projects. I also participated in project groups in the role of Senior Supplier.

Role: day-to-day management.Responsibilities: setting up daily ‘transaction based performance attribution’; setting up and providing information for written reports and RFPs; providing general support for managers of equity portfolios and senior management; internal (improvement) projects; the rollout and management of Reuters Knowledge for Investment Management (RKIM). Relationship management with software suppliers was also part of the range of tasks.Manage Global Information Delivery & Exchange department (manage all aspects for third party web-based research and analytics desktop solution, information management, performance measurement).

Role: day-to-day management.Responsibilities: designing, implementing and refining procedures to reduce the number and the extent of transaction errors to below-industry-average; implement adjustments to the model portfolio in customer portfolios. Relationship management with software suppliers was part of my role.Manage Portfolio Implementation department (operational portfolio management: implement model portfolio changes into actual client portfolios, set up, implement and maintain procedures/safeguards to reduce error-rate to below industry averages).

Role: portfolio manager of equity portfolios.Responsibilities: managing Special Institutional Mandates (institutional mandates that, at the request of the client, deviated from the model portfolio); managing the listed ABN AMRO Resources Fund.Managing equity portfolios, both listed (ABN AMRO Global Fund, ABN AMRO Energy Fund) as well as segregated institutional portfolios.

Role: business analyst; after the roll-out of the first-line help desk, I returned full-time as a business liaison between portfolio managers and IT.Responsibilities: application development for the mid- and front office, with BPR Straight Through Processing as the most important project.Role: business analyst for the ABN AMRO Asset Management front office.Responsibilities: among other things the development and rollout of a Windows NT platform for all end users in Amsterdam.Act as business liaison between portfolio managers and IT (a.o. application development).

Role: day-to-day management.Responsibilities: setting up and rolling out (staffing and systems) of an ICT First Level Support Desk for end users in Amsterdam. I also continued to work as a business analyst.Set up and operate (staffing as well as systems) IT Support Desk for Amsterdam based users. Continue to operate as business consultant.

Role: business analyst; after the roll-out of the first-line help desk, I returned full-time as a business liaison between portfolio managers and IT.Responsibilities: application development for the mid- and front office, with BPR Straight Through Processing as the most important project.Preparing propositions to the Board, set up finance and budgetting, general assistance.
