I worked for LCA Services in Solano County at the Day Reporting Center for 15 years. I began my career with DRC as a Case Manager, promoting to Lead Case Manager and I resigned as the Regional Director. I supervised and managed 7 staff and was responsible for up to 30 court ordered clients that are mandated to attend DRC. I was also responsible for all fiscal accountability, while overseeing staff, client and site safety. I attended all administrative meeting with probation staff, initial intakes, parent conferences, while networking with outside resources. I worked two years as a Youth Counselor for Sumlin House, a Residential Drug Treatment Facility for ages 13-18, conducting group sessions which included; Life Skills, Anger Management, Communication, Domestic Violence, and Drug Awareness. I worked 2 years for A.K. Bean as a Bi-lingual instructor conducting educational groups on alcohol and DUI requirements. I was the Director of Resources for the Alpha Pregnancy Resource Center in Vacaville for thirteen years and an Administrator for two years. I counseled pregnant teens on life choice, networking with the community for resources; training volunteers to become crisis counselors. I worked as a shelter advocate and a Crisis Hotline Counselor for Safe Quest Solano, where I counseled victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. I'm also is a certified Crisis Counselor, a trained Aggression Replacement Training (ART) facilitator and an N.C.T.I. Crossroads facilitator. I hold a Bachelor Degree in Biblical Studies, Psychology classes at Solano Community College and additionally, certificates in Substance Abuse Counseling, Crisis Counseling, Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence. I am is an outreach coordinator (Brown Card holder) at Real Choice Prison Program, San Quentin State Prison.
