During my time there, PR Klinika was a very young and dynamic, purely Czech agency. In my position as Account Director, I largely took care of clients and business development, primarily from the construction sector. Whilst I was working there, the agency successfully managed the departure of one of its founders, doubled its turnover, and established itself on the Czech market.

Although the position of editor in chief for governmental websites and the office’s social media communication came about rather by chance, it was actually one of my most interesting roles, public administration notwithstanding. The Twitter account @strakovka still serves as an example of good public administration practice. Besides managing content, I also worked on making the web services accessible for disabled people and took care of relevant legislation.

I returned to politics as head of the Prime Minister's programme office. As part of my leadership of the office I was mainly tasked with communicating the implementation of the government’s policy platform. With the onset of the economic crisis of 2008, priorities shifted to communications for the National Economic Council (NERV), including developing a new brand and publicising the subsequent National Anti-Crisis Plan.

My first taste of PR. A learning curve – professionally and personally. When I joined in the position of Account Manager, Colin PR took care of brands such as Motorola, Microsoft, Symatec, AVG, HTC, B.Braun and their activities in the Czech market. I owe a lot to Colin and their employees.

I became familiar with a member of parliament’s work as part of my position as manager of ODS Prague 3. I was in charge of the office’s operations, preparation for meetings of the lower chamber of parliament, and general communication.

In the role of secretary I not only became closely acquainted with the ins and outs of local politics but also gained experience of preparing and running campaigns.

My first job during my studies, where I understood that a happy customer is the most important thing in any business.
